Hetsuka Beach

Located in the southeastern part of town known for its unique variety of bitter orange, Hetsuka Beach is surrounded by mountains and has a serene and secluded feel. Like Kishira Beach, just 15 minutes north, it is home to many sea turtle nests in the summer. Here, the sparkling blue Pacific is completely unobstructed by the large tetrapods and wave breakers that mark many other coastlines in Japan.

Open to the public.
