Mt. Kano Boardwalk

Mt. Kano stands at a height of 186 meters, located near the coast in the Uchinoura area of Kimotsuki. 1,000 steps run from the bottom of the mountain up to Kanodake Shrine at the top, with a boardwalk located at the 555th step. The lookout point offers a panoramic view of Uchinoura Bay and surrounding fields. To the south, the Uchinoura Space Center’s two parabolic antennas are visible on a nearby mountain ridge. Further up the steps and just before the shrine, there are several cottages available for rent (learn more at Lodging).​
